Join Redruth Orchard Project to help make bug hotels in Trefusis Park!
Help us create homes for insects at Trefusis Park!
All welcome. Sat 2nd November, 2-4pm.
We want to encourage beneficial insects like bees, wasps, butterflies & hoversflies to the young community orchard to help with polliination of the trees. Our fruit trees depend on these insects to ensure they remain healthy and ensure good harvests. Many of these insects are solitary and need somewhere to nest to spread pollen.
We will also be mulching the fruit trees.
In future sessions we'll be planting up some areas with forest garden plants amongst the trees to provide more species of plants & flowers for the pollinators to seek nectar and spollen from.
