With members of marriage and other partnerships so often having had previous marriages and relationships, pre-nuptial agreements are increasingly useful. The courts are placing more emphasis on them. They can be very simple or complex. We can help. They need not be a source of embarrassment or suspicion.
The breakdown of marriages and other close relationships can be very stressful and lead to many difficulties for adults and children. We can provide specialist help and advice on all family related issues including representation in all Family Court proceedings. As a result of a continuing increase in the volume of work we have expanded this department.

Family Law Department Staff
Our team has over 50 years of collective experience in delivering high quality work in all matters relating to family law problems, including, divorce and the resulting financial issues and, child arrangements.
We have two members of the team who may work on your matter. Regardless of who works on your matter, they will be supervised by Stephen Morrison who is one of the partners in the firm.
Head of Family Law
Michele is the head of our team and has over 25 years’ experience in family law work. Michele has been working in this area of law since she qualified and has helped thousands of families and individuals.
Michele qualified as a solicitor in 1991, having obtained her Law Degree at what is now Anglia Ruskin University, and completing her solicitors’ final examination at the School of Law, Guildford. She undertook her training with a firm in Essex and worked in the same county for a further two years before returning to her home county of Cornwall where she has lived and worked ever since.
Before joining us in 2017, Michele worked as a self-employed locum for nearly 20 years, assisting a wide range of firms across Cornwall which gave her significant experience in all aspects of family law.
Legal Assistant – Family Law
Teresa is the assistant within the family department.
She has worked at our firm for over 25 years and has extensive experience in dealing with divorce matters as well as supporting clients in relation to all other family law matters and managing files.
