Thurstan Hoskin
Thurstan was born, bred, raised and educated
locally until he attended university in Norwich. He previously
worked in industry and abroad before training as a solicitor. He
trained in Truro and Wiltshire before opening a new office in Redruth in
1979.
When the office first opened, Thurstan did everything that came in
through the door but subsequently specialised in conveyancing and
eventually further specialised in commercial conveyancing and other
business matters.
He enjoys dealing with persons starting a business or taking on a lease
for the first time who need detailed advice and support. He also
enjoys dealing with experienced business people who know the ropes and
what is important to them.
Thurstan is married to Jill, who works as a part time secretary for the
Wills Probate & Tax Department. They have one daughter. He
is interested in sport having played rugby at Wadebridge, London Cornish
and Truro among others.
He still runs/plods, sails, swims and plays golf with no distinction at
all. Apart from outdoor activities (gardening not being one of
them) he enjoys reading a general mix ("The Hitch-hiker's Guide to the
Galaxy" and "Proust") and listening, or sometimes sleeping to, music.
