David Appleby

David began his working life in the steel industry
in his native South Yorkshire. He worked for some 16 years after
leaving school progressing through to senior management in computer
systems.
David then relocated to Cornwall with his wife and three young children
in 1982 establishing a self-employed business in financial services,
estate agency and property development.
After very successful years of business, he suffered a business failure
in the economic crash of the early 90's and then took advantage of the
opportunity to become a mature student. He took a Law degree at
the University of Plymouth and passed with Honours. He then
studied for professional qualification at Sheffield University,
qualifying as a solicitor in January 2001.
David's abiding interest has always been in Children & Family Law and he
has practised within that discipline since qualifying.
He has suffered the effects of divorce and family breakdown so is well
aware of the pressure and trauma that it can bring. Therefore he has an
intimate understanding of the needs of husbands, wives and parents
facing the challenges of everyday family life.
Outside of work, David enjoys walking on many of Cornwall's beautiful
beaches with his dogs and is a fanatical scuba diver. He can be
found on most weekends, Winter & Summer, somewhere out at sea of the
beautiful Cornish coast.
